Should I apply Early Decision to increase my admissions chances?

Many questions about the “Earlies” have been coming into The Coach’s inbox, with seniors wanting to understand their application options and make decisions based on their best interest.

We make it a point of emphasis that students should not apply ED solely to boost their admissions chances. In order to apply ED, the school must be a clear #1 preference and an ideal match – academically, personally and financially. In addition, it’s important to keep in mind that ED applicant pools are significantly more competitive than Regular Decision, meaning that you’ll want your GPA/SAT to be near the 75th percentile of the college’s admitted students profile.

The Coach has updated our Playbook Presentation on Application Options. Seniors and their families should review the information carefully and discuss their options with The Coach.
